Overview

BRPH is looking for an Industrial Engineer for its Melbourne, Florida headquarters office location. The ideal Industrial Engineer candidate will have experience in manufacturing production flow planning and analysis by optimizing end-to-end material flow, planning and design of systematic layouts, and leading continuous improvement initiatives while minimizing production problems and costs for our clients.  Prepares concepts and layout plans, conducts support studies, and provides analysis in the development of manufacturing operations.  Develops, integrates, improves systems and ensures compliance with industry safety and design standards and guidelines to support the customer’s business. Understands the manufacturing processes and informational needs of customers at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize LEAN, Six Sigma concepts
  • Understand and ability to implement Industry 4.0, system integration and lean manufacturing knowledge with direct experience implementing these methodologies/tools
  • Develops manufacturing processes workflow solutions by designing and modifying equipment, systems and practices
  • Ability to analyze existing manufacturing processes and provide assembly and production solutions
  • Ability to run simulations for work flow analysis
  • Act as a liaison between Production, Plant Services/facilities, and Engineering to solve safety, ergonomic and production issues.
  • Ability to work with and coordinate with outside vendors for new tooling, equipment, automation as required by the manufacturing processes to be implemented/improved and initiate and follow projects from start until completion working with clients and facility design team.
  • Work to solve unique manufacturing issues and implement improvements to bring value to clients for new and existing facilities.
  • Ability to provide basic sketches / concepts and AutoCAD lay-out of equipment and fixtures and for Plant Services, material handling and engineering.
  • Adept at analyzing, interpreting and resolving Information
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Will report directly to Vice President, Director of Manufacturing
  • Interact with senior management, staff, and production/technical staff

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Advanced Engineering Degree and/or Six Sigma – Green Belt Certification
  • Minimum 7 years directly related experience
  • CAD experience
  • Able to communicate effectively, verbal and written form, have presentation skills
  • Strong commitment to a team environment
  • Experience in Aerospace, Aviation and / or automotive a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
