Assists in construction projects by independently performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ability to review plans and specifications for thorough understanding of project requirements, identify potential conflicts, and RFI development.
• Assist the quality control manager in reviewing subcontractor submittals to ensure quality requirements and submittal format are met.
• Review project quality-related contract submittals.
• Coordinate with project superintendents and project managers to ensure equipment, labor, materials, and all other project related resources are in place as needed to be successful.
• Provide technical support and feedback to the construction management team.
• Inspecting in-progress work and equipment to ensure quality standards and compliance with federal and state codes are met.
• Assist in controlling correction actions to resolve quality nonconformances.
• Oversee the execution of craft work to ensure subcontract work is on track and completed safely.
• Assist in coordination of subcontractors on-site work and mitigation of potential on-site schedule conflicts between multiple disciplines required for the successful delivery of the project.
• Thoroughly track project activities to provide timely reporting and thorough communications to outside parties.
• Coordination with subcontractors for testing equipment and installed work to ensure they meet specification requirements, functions properly, and meets safety standards.
• Administer deviation reporting procedures, scope changes and trends.
• Manage multiple tasks in a high energy environment, while promoting communications, cooperation, and quality among the team.
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering from an accredited four-year college or university and minimum of 3 years’ experience as a field engineer or related field.
Must be proficient in the use of:
• Microsoft Windows, Excel, Project, and Word
• Bluebeam
