We’re looking for a entry level Technical Document Specialist  to work remotely to join our dynamic team. BRPH is headquartered in Melbourne, FL. Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

Utilizes Microsoft Word and various specification software applications to compile, modify, format, print, and store documents by performing the following duties. Also maintains the specifications library, office templates, and various other document types for project deliverables.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proficiently operates within Microsoft Word and associated
  • Compiles material from various sources and incorporates edits, following written or oral
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy in following written markups or follows verbal instructions from supervisor or person requesting document, to determine format and content
  • Distributes MasterSpec Table of Contents to team members for selection of specification sections to be used in Project Manual.
  • Types all specifications and other supporting documents to include design/data manuals, NASA studies/reports, white papers, etc.
  • Proofreads and edits documents on-screen for proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format in compliance with BRPH corporate branding standards.
  • Prints and distributes documents to staff for
  • Creates PDF copies of completed documents in final stage for quality check and reproduction. Checks Table of Contents (TOC) against contents of specifications to ensure
  • Saves and files all e-email communication in the Newforma
  • Assures Master Specifications are kept

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word (BRPH’s current version), SpecsIntact, and MasterSpec utilizing Masterworks editing tools and Specpoint project builder. Must be familiar with Excel (BRPH’s current version).

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The work is semi-sedentary work.
  • Manual dexterity, hearing, mental acuity, typing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
  • Ability to stand and sit for periods longer than 30 minutes but not to exceed two hours consecutively.
  • Ability to control behavior when encountering stressful situations or short deadlines and to maintain a high level of concentration.
  • Ability to print and draw letters, numbers, words, characters, and symbols that are legible and understood by others.
  • Ability to learn complex tasks and remember how to complete tasks without assistance once trained.
