Overview

 BRPH  is looking for a Training Manager for our Melbourne, Florida Headquarter Office location. The Training Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing learning and development programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of team members for an AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) firm. This role requires collaboration with leaders to assess training needs, deliver tailored solutions, and drive initiatives that align with the company’s strategic goals.

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Training Program Development and Delivery:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive training strategy that addresses technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills required for AEC professionals.
  • Create and assist with delivering training programs, including on-boarding for new hires, safety and compliance training, technical skill development, leadership programs, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Evaluate and select external training resources, platforms, and certifications as needed.

Needs Assessment and Strategy Alignment:

  • Partner with leadership to identify skills gaps and training needs across teams.
  • Align training programs with the company’s core values, operational priorities, and long-term goals.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure training content remains relevant and impactive.

Program Management and Coordination:

  • Manage the training calendar, logistics, and coordination of training sessions, both in-person and virtual.
  • Oversee the learning management system (LMS) and track employee participation and progress in training programs.
  • Ensure all required training (e.g., safety, compliance) is delivered on schedule and meets regulatory requirements.

Performance Measurement and Improvement:

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and key performance indicators.
  • Report on training outcomes and recommend continuous improvements to maximize employee development and engagement.
  • Maintain and improve training materials, methods, and delivery to ensure high-quality learning experiences.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training or organizational development, preferably in the AEC or related industry.
  • Familiarity with technical training needs specific to AEC disciplines, including architecture, engineering, and construction.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess training needs and develop creative, effective solutions.
  • Experience with safety and compliance training in an AEC or similarly regulated environment is a plus.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Power-Point, and Outlook.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The work is semi-sedentary and requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity, hearing, mental acuity, typing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
  • Ability to stand and sit for periods longer than 30 minutes but not to exceed two hours consecutively.
  • Ability to control behavior when encountering stressful situations or short deadlines and to maintain a high level of concentration.
  • Ability to print and draw letters, numbers, words, characters, and symbols that are legible and understood by others.
  • Ability to learn complex tasks and remember how to complete tasks without assistance once trained.
